If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the website or submit a service request.

- Other local doorstep services
The availability of a particular service may depend on the customer’s locality, requested date, job requirements and availability of an appropriate Service Professional.
2. Platform and Service Role
Depending on the service category, Gitakart Seva may:
- Receive and review customer enquiries;
- Help define the initial scope of work;
- Coordinate communication between a Customer and a Service Professional;
- Schedule or assist with scheduling an appointment;
- Provide or communicate an initial estimate;
- Facilitate payment where such an option is available; or
- Provide certain services directly through its own team.
Where an independent Service Professional performs the work, the professional is responsible for carrying out the agreed service with reasonable care and skill.
The exact service arrangement, work scope, charges and responsible service provider should be confirmed before work begins.
3. Customer Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract to make a booking.
If you submit a service request on behalf of another person, household, company or property owner, you confirm that you have the necessary permission to do so.
A parent or lawful guardian must supervise any booking involving a minor.
4. Service Requests and Bookings
A service enquiry submitted through the website, telephone or WhatsApp does not automatically create a confirmed booking.
A booking becomes confirmed when Gitakart Seva or the assigned Service Professional communicates confirmation of the service, schedule and applicable terms.
To submit a request, you may be asked to provide:
- Your name;
- Mobile or WhatsApp number;
- Service address and locality;
- Required service;
- Description of the problem or work;
- Preferred appointment date and time; and
- Relevant photographs or other information.
You are responsible for providing complete and accurate information. Incorrect or incomplete details may cause delays, revised pricing or cancellation.
5. Service Availability
Services are primarily offered in Durgapur and selected nearby areas.
Availability may vary according to:
- Service category;
- Customer location;
- Service Professional availability;
- Required tools, materials or skills;
- Weather, traffic or access conditions;
- Public holidays or local restrictions; and
- Health, safety or operational concerns.
Submission of a request does not guarantee that a Service Professional will be available.
6. Estimates, Inspection and Final Pricing
Any price displayed on the website or communicated before inspection may be an indicative or starting price unless expressly confirmed as a fixed quotation.
The final price may depend on:
- Nature and complexity of the work;
- Site conditions;
- Labour time;
- Required materials or replacement parts;
- Equipment or transportation requirements;
- Additional work requested by the Customer;
- Taxes or statutory charges, where applicable; and
- Conditions discovered during inspection.
The Customer should confirm the work scope and total applicable charges before authorizing the Service Professional to begin.
If additional work or materials become necessary, the revised cost should be communicated to the Customer for approval before proceeding.
7. Visiting or Inspection Charges
Certain services may involve a visiting, inspection, consultation or diagnostic charge. Such a charge may apply even if:
- The Customer decides not to proceed;
- The issue cannot be repaired at the location;
- A replacement part is unavailable;
- Further specialist work is required; or
- The Service Professional has already travelled to and inspected the site.
Any applicable visiting or inspection charge should be communicated before or during booking confirmation.
8. Payments
Available payment methods may include cash, UPI, bank transfer, online payment or another method communicated at the time of booking.
You agree to:
- Pay the confirmed charges for authorized work;
- Verify the recipient before making payment;
- Keep the invoice, receipt or transaction reference;
- Never disclose your UPI PIN, banking password or OTP; and
- Report suspicious payment requests immediately.
A booking may require an advance payment when materials, spare parts, transportation or reserved labour are required. Applicable advance-payment conditions should be disclosed before payment.
Gitakart Seva is not responsible for payments made to an unverified account or individual outside the approved booking or payment process.
9. Materials and Spare Parts
When a service requires materials or spare parts:
- The cost should be explained or estimated before purchase or installation;
- Availability may depend on suppliers and market conditions;
- Brand, model and compatibility should be confirmed where applicable; and
- Manufacturer warranties will be governed by the manufacturer’s applicable terms.
Customers should inspect replaced parts and request an invoice or warranty document where available.
Once a customized, specially ordered or installed item has been accepted, cancellation or return may not be possible unless the item is defective or applicable law provides otherwise.
10. Customer Responsibilities
The Customer agrees to:
- Provide accurate contact and service-location details;
- Clearly describe the required work;
- Ensure lawful access to the property or service location;
- Obtain permission from the property owner where required;
- Provide a reasonably safe working environment;
- Keep children and pets away from the work area;
- Secure cash, jewellery, documents and valuable belongings;
- Disclose known electrical, structural, plumbing or safety hazards;
- Provide electricity, water or reasonable access where necessary;
- Inspect the completed work before the Service Professional leaves; and
- Pay the agreed charges for authorized services.
The Customer must not request any illegal, unsafe, deceptive or unauthorized work.
11. Service Professional Access and Safety
The Customer should verify the visiting person’s name, booking reference or other available identification before allowing entry.
A Service Professional may refuse, suspend or stop work if:
- The location is unsafe;
- The requested work is illegal;
- Required permission is unavailable;
- The Customer behaves abusively or threateningly;
- Necessary utilities or access are unavailable;
- Conditions differ materially from the information provided; or
- Continuing the work could damage property or endanger any person.
Additional charges may apply if a return visit becomes necessary because access, electricity, materials or required information was unavailable.
12. Appointment Timing and Delays
Appointment times are estimates unless specifically confirmed otherwise.
Delays may occur because of traffic, weather, earlier jobs, emergency situations, material availability or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Gitakart Seva or the Service Professional will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delays and arrange a revised time.
13. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Customers should request cancellation or rescheduling as early as possible by calling or messaging Gitakart Seva.
A cancellation, rescheduling or call-out charge may apply when:
- The Service Professional has already travelled to the location;
- The Service Professional has arrived;
- The Customer or authorized person is unavailable;
- Access to the location is refused or unavailable;
- Special materials have already been purchased;
- Labour has been reserved for the job; or
- The cancellation occurs after the communicated deadline.
Any applicable charge will depend on the service circumstances and information communicated during booking.
Gitakart Seva or a Service Professional may cancel or reschedule a service due to safety concerns, unavailability, weather, access problems or other reasonable operational circumstances.
14. Refunds
Refund eligibility will depend on the nature of the payment and circumstances of the cancellation.
Where a refund is approved:
- Amounts already spent on materials, spare parts, inspection, completed work, payment processing or transportation may be deducted where legally permissible;
- Refunds should normally be returned through the original payment method where practical; and
- Bank or payment-provider processing times may apply.
No provision in these Terms is intended to remove a Customer’s rights under applicable consumer law.
15. Workmanship, Warranty and Complaints
Any service warranty must be expressly communicated in writing on the service page, quotation, invoice, receipt or booking confirmation.
Unless a specific warranty is provided, no additional warranty should be assumed.
A workmanship warranty may not apply where a problem results from:
- Customer misuse or accidental damage;
- Normal wear and tear;
- Pre-existing defects;
- Work performed or altered by another person;
- Incompatible or customer-supplied materials;
- Failure to follow usage or maintenance instructions;
- Electrical fluctuation, water damage, pests, weather or external events; or
- A separate fault outside the original work scope.
Customers should report a service concern promptly and provide the booking details, photographs and a description of the issue.
Where appropriate, Gitakart Seva or the responsible Service Professional may inspect the complaint before deciding on repair, replacement, refund or another resolution.
16. Customer-Supplied Products and Materials
If a Customer supplies a product, spare part or material, the Customer is responsible for its quality, suitability, authenticity and compatibility.
The Service Professional may refuse to install an unsuitable or unsafe item.
Unless expressly agreed in writing, Gitakart Seva and the Service Professional are not responsible for defects arising from customer-supplied products or materials.
17. Damage and Pre-Existing Conditions
Customers should disclose fragile, damaged, concealed or hazardous conditions before work begins.
Gitakart Seva and Service Professionals will not be responsible for a pre-existing defect or damage that was not caused by the service.
Some repair or installation work may require drilling, cutting, opening, dismantling or moving items. The Customer should discuss foreseeable effects and restoration requirements before approving the work.
Nothing in these Terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
18. Reviews and User-Submitted Content
If you submit a review, photograph, comment or testimonial, you confirm that:
- The content is based on your genuine experience;
- You have permission to share it;
- It does not violate another person’s privacy or intellectual-property rights;

24. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gitakart Seva will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from website use, service delays or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Any limitation will not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted, including applicable statutory consumer rights.
Where an independent Service Professional performs a service, complaints concerning the workmanship should first be reported to Gitakart Seva and the responsible professional so that the matter can be reviewed.
25. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses or claims resulting from your unlawful misuse of the website, deliberate violation of these Terms or infringement of another person’s rights.
This provision does not reduce any legal right or remedy available to you as a consumer.
26. Suspension or Refusal of Service
Gitakart Seva may suspend website access, reject a request or discontinue coordination where reasonably necessary because of:
- Fraud or suspected misuse;
- Abusive or threatening conduct;

- Repeated false bookings;
- Safety concerns;
- Illegal service requests; or

27. Force Majeure
Neither Gitakart Seva nor a Service Professional will be responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, strikes, transport disruption, government restrictions, public emergencies, internet outages or supply-chain interruptions.
The affected service may be rescheduled or cancelled as reasonably appropriate.
28. Changes to These Terms
Gitakart Seva may update these Terms when services, website features, business practices or legal requirements change.
Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
Changes will not unfairly remove rights already acquired under a confirmed booking.
29. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. The affected provision will be interpreted or adjusted only to the minimum extent necessary under applicable law.
30. No Waiver
A failure or delay by Gitakart Seva in enforcing a provision does not waive the right to enforce that provision later.
31. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
Customers should first contact Gitakart Seva and provide the booking information and details of the complaint so that we can attempt to resolve the issue.
Subject to applicable consumer-protection laws and mandatory jurisdictional rights, disputes will be subject to the competent courts having jurisdiction in Durgapur, West Bengal.
